Hi All,

Here is my 14th tamil poem.. Tomorrow being Sept 5, the teachers day.. This poem is dedicated to all teachers who make this world a great place to live..

Teachers have been a great source of positive influence in my life.. Wish you all a very happy teachers day!!

Some of you know that I recently learn to write tamil. My intention was to write the poems in tamil, but it is taking a really long time for me to write.. It feels like asking an LKG kid to write 100 word essay But I am working on it.. So I will be putting up the tamil “written” version sometime soon.. But as of now I have typed out the poem in English..

Aasiriyan

Adiththu adiththu aezhuththai thiruththi…
Karpalagai mael kaipidiththu..
kaiyezhuththai thiruththinaan. aasiriyan
VaNNa kanavugaLukku adithaLam kuduththu..
Thalai yezhuththai maatrinaan.. aasiriyan

KavidhaigaLil poi azhagu..
Ariviyalil maei azhagu..
MooLaikku kanidham..
Vaazhkkaikku adakkam..
Anaithaiyum katru koduthaan.. aasiriyan
Gandhi Nehru kadhaikaLai solli
Desa patrai vaLarthaan.. aasiriyan

Bodhi marathukku.. vazhiyai kaati..
Engirunthalum vaazhga.. endru..
vaazhthi anuppuvaan… aasiriyan..
Than maanavanin saadhanaiyil..
mukthi adaiyuvaan aasiriyan..

Bhoomiyil nadamaadum indha dhaivaththai..
Madhikaamal iruppavan… oru siriyan..
Punidha sevai seiyyum aasiriyanukku..
Thalai vananguvaan kalai kaadhalan..

The poem is dedicated to all teachers..

The teacher hits you and corrects yours writing..
But he holds your hand against the slate..
And makes you write better..
He also lays the foundation of your colour dreams..
Positively influencing you and probably changing your fate..

The patriotism through the great legends..

He shows you the way to enlightenment… to the Bodhi Tree.. where Buddha got his enlightenment..
He blesses you.. Wishing you good luck whereever you are and whatever you do..
He is extremely satisified.. proud.. when he hears his student is achieve great things..

A teacher is none another than god who is walking in human form..
And any one who doesnt respect his teacher is a very small person because he doesnt realize what he is doing..
