Me: Hi Nidhi, Welcome to CWS. Can you tell something about urself, your background and your work?
NM: I feel great to be on “Coffee with Sundar”. I am a MBA from Indore University with interest in e-Commerce and search engine based marketing. I manage the promotion and daily operations of the allindiadeals.

NM: Currently both founders (My husband & I) wear multiple hats and handle responsibilities including overall execution, marketing, operation and technology development. However allindiadeals.com is looking for passionate individuals who could join the team and help take allindiadeals.com to the next level.

Me: So, What is allindiadeals.com? Can you tell us something about it?
NM: allindiadeals.com is India’s first bargain shopping community. We search the online stores and store flyers for the deals, free stuff, and discounts, and after filtering them, publish the very best ones! At allindiadeals.com shopper will find the best deal for gamut of products from Apple iPod to Vacuum Cleaners, Laptops to Levis Jeans, Computers, Digital camera, Cell phone, MP3 players, Travel and more.

Recently we re-created our site from scratch to make it more user friendly, high in performance and scalable. Along with it we also added array of features like Deals for NRI’s, Local Deals (offers in local stores), shopping blog and added categories like Travel, Baby Care, and Finance etc. I can assure you of more action at allindiadeals in near future.

Me: Cool.. So, It is more like an intermediate guy.. It doesnt handle any money right?
NM: No, allindiadeals.com does not handle any money or sell/ship or process any order. We only provide free information with link to merchant’s sites where consumer can buy for cheaper price.

Me: How do you manage all the work for allindiadeals? How many ppl are working with you on this?
NM: I believe that clear demarcation of responsibilities among the team members is a key to run any business successfully whether big or small. Currently we are a team of 3 and everyone is well aware of their duties. I and Raghav although based in different time zone coordinate and work on the website content. Praveen take cares of the all the website development and maintenance tasks. Special thanks to him for developing our new site which scores good points on usability and loads blazingly fast :-)

Me: Is this the only venture that you have started? Are you working on anything else?
NM: As the Indian online shopping space is evolving we are looking for more opportunities in this space. Currently we are working on http://CompareBazaar.com which will be a product and price comparison website for India. Because of the synergy between the two businesses moving to comparison shopping is a logical extension. It will help us to serve our customers better. However allindiadeals is always first priority for us and we are committed to take allindiadeals to the next level.

Me: Why didnt you take the default route of going to a job? What made you start a company?
NM: I did take the so called default route and worked for ICICI for around 2 years but later decided to take the road less travel.
Internet is an exciting space where tons of opportunities are unfolding every day. Apart from job satisfaction it provides you freedom to work anytime. I must tell you that ‘I am loving it’ :-)

Me: What according to you was the toughest part, in this journey of allindiadeals?
NM: I was a novice to internet business and I was found it difficult to setup things from finding a appropriate web space provider to getting the site developed. After lot of reading and searching, things started falling in place. Their of tons of people to thank who helped to take off my venture.

Me: What according to you are the skills an entrepreneur should have?
NM: Passion and faith in oneself!

Me: Finally, now that you have a kid, how do you plan to handle being an entrepreneur on end and a caring mother on the other end?
NM: He is just turned 4 months and still sleeps a lot :-) Jokes apart internet venture do provide you flexibility of working hours so I do not see any problem to balance my work and personal life.
