This too shall pass away!! My 9th Poem.. Random thoughts on watching a sweet little crying child!

Idhuvum Kadandhu Pogum

Yaar indha chamathu kuzhandhai..
Devalogathin devatheyO?
Rajathi rajanin rajakumari ivaL dhaanO?

Apple kannam kondavaLae..
Unnai kanum kangaLukku yethanai magiZHchi..
KadavuLin parisaaga vandavaLae…
Ennadi un kannil-irundhu oru neerveeZHchi…

Suriyanai kaanum suryakanthi-yin sirippu engae?
kudhithu oodum puLLimaan-in thuLLal engae?
Malarudan viLayaadum thaenin-yin thudippu engae?
Paal vadiyum mugathil.. kaNneer vazhigiradhae?

viLaiyaadum vayadhilenna..
mythili-yin sogam..
Kuzhandai paruvathil yaen
unakku himaya malai baaram..
InbamO ThunbamO.. Chellamae..
vaazhkaiyil.. idhuvum kadandhu poogum..

Ponn-nagaipol minnum punnagai aNiyadi.. Kalai Kaadhali..

Here, the narrator sees a small girl and wonders who is this small girl.. Is she an angel from the land of Gods..
Or she is the daugther of the greatest king of kings..
Who is this girl?

Yaar indha chamathu kuzhandhai..
Devalogathin devatheyO?
Rajathi rajanin rajakumari ivaL dhaanO?

Oh the girl with cheeks like apple..
You are so beautiful that you bring joy the eyes of the beholder..
While describing the girl as the gift of god.. narrator realizes that the girl is actually crying.. And wonders why there is a waterfall from her eyes..

Apple kannam kondavaLae..
Unnai kanum kangaLukku yethanai magiZHchi..
KadavuLin parisaaga vandavaLae…
Ennadi un kannil-irundhu oru neerveeZHchi…

He wonders where is her smile.. which is like the smile of a sunflower which glows on seeing the sun..

He asks.. where is her pulse.. which is like the pulse of a bee playing with a fresh flower..

He questions.. where is her excitement.. which is like that of a jumping deer.. Why is all the beauty missing? Why is water falling from such an innocent face…

Suriyanai kaanum suryakanthi-yin sirippu engae?
kudhithu oodum puLLimaan-in thuLLal engae?
Malarudan viLayaadum thaenin-yin thudippu engae?
Paal vadiyum mugathil.. kaNneer vazhigiradhae?

The narrator continues to wonder..
The girl is her playing age.. why is she having a such a big problem.. like Seetha.. Mythili is another name for seetha..
In her childhood.. why is she bearing the weight of Himalayan mountain in her heart..
The narrator doesnt really know what the real problem is.. But he knows one this for sure.. that things will move on.. So he tells the girl.. “Happiness or Sadness.. O my dear.. This too shall go away! Dont worry and wear a smile.. which shines like a precious jewel on your face..”

viLaiyaadum vayadhilenna..
mythili-yin sogam..
Kuzhandai paruvathil yaen
unakku himaya malai baaram..
InbamO ThunbamO.. Chellamae..
vaazhkaiyil.. idhuvum kadandhu poogum..

Ponn-nagaipol minnum punnagai aNiyadi.. Kalai Kaadhali..
